The ideal choice for framing canvas, our CLASSIC Floating Frame is made to fit around your artwork. Our hybrid Plywood/Hardwood design combines the best of both worlds by using environmentally stable, engineered wood with a strong and reliable hardwood profile. What does this mean for you? A superior frame that is light, strong, and out performs others by its natural resistance to warping and twisting.

We use a two-part "L" construction that forms the back and side (profile) of the frame. The back is made of Baltic Birch Ply and the side (profile) is made of solid hardwood. These two pieces are glued and pinned together. Every joint and connection in this frame is glued and/or fastened with screws.

When choosing a frame thickness, we recommend that artwork under 48” be framed using the Thin (3/16”) thickness with a 1/8" Float (this means that there will be a 1/8" gap between the artwork and frame). Larger works over 48" should be framed using the Wide (3/8") thickness with a 1/4" Float.

Our frames are finished with premium water based paints, stains, and/or top coats.
